Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. - Matthew 6:34

  • Welcome!

We will study multiple genres of writing. These genres include but are not limited to narrative writing, informational writing, and argumentative writing. We will also engage in reading units created around whole-class novels and supplemental texts intended to promote a strong appreciation for multiple styles of literature. The supplemental texts include, but are not limited to poems, prose, and short stories. In addition to these units, particular focus will be placed on grammar mechanics and usage, and vocabulary development. Eighth graders, you can look forward to creating your Autobiographies, a time-honored tradition here at SWS! I hope you are all excited as I am to begin our year together!

    Message to Parents!

Thank you for choosing St. William the Abbot School. I am truly looking forward to connecting with each of you throughout the year. I can be contacted through email or by phone. This year, we will continue to use Schoology for all class material. Please feel free to reach out with any questions!
